We had a great turnout for Christine's study hall session on setup. It was great to see even some of our spring season folks popping in for an opportunity to learn something they may have overlooked alongside our fall folks who are just getting ready to ramp up.

Recap: Gatekeeper Upgrades!

After UMD we had a flurry of thoughts about how to optimize the use of Scanny McScannerson and Gatekeeper. Getting logged in and on the right event took way too many taps - taps that your colleague-from-another-department had to think way too hard about.

Now it's a scan-and-go solution using a new feature we call the iqKey.

Configure ahead of time for each event per the docs and you won't have a single panicky phone call (about this, anyway!). While we were in there we made the screen _way_ less sensitive to sloppy swipes and taps - which should also bring considerable relief.

But that's not all. For those of you who do seated events and (frequently) find yourself naming tables a certain way for internal/assignment purposes, but then need to clean 'em up for name tag use...you're going to love this.

So much faster than renaming them one by one. We've also started scoping out the work for a visual table layout tool. Bye bye SocialTables (someday)!

Those of you who have been around the block with us a few times know we like to do periodic debriefs to make sure our work is in parallel with yours.
